At age 53, Beatriz Cabrera Quintana took her final breath on Thursday, September 19, 2019 in Washington DC, surrounded by her family so precious to her. A gift and miracle when she was born, second daughter of Benito and Elisa Quintana, she is the epitome of complete obedience, unconditional love, and selfless service.
Born and raised in Manila, Philippines and resident of Maryland and Washington DC, USA. She was predeceased by father Benito on October 18, 1989. Obedient daughter to mother Elisa; devoted and patient sister to Bernadette, Brenda, Benilda, Bethesda, Edmund, Enrico, and Nova Estrella; loving sister-in-law to Jody, Doods, Runnel, Jorge, Raffie, Pia, and Niño; second mother to Justin and Carla, Nadine, Benjo, Ruben, Annika, Benzi, Sofia Beatriz, Toby, Erika, Ellah, Dominique, Cheska, Neah, Ralph, Joaquin, Beo, and Nyla; and darling guardian to pets Fluffy, Raven, Kiota, Voltron, Kofi, and Nimbus.
Her entire life was dedicated to caring for her family and lovedones. She called them unfailingly each day to say hello and hear their voices. She touched the lives of many, helped and cared for others with her whole heart and body — so hard and so much, tireless and relentless— regardless of her very petite size.
As family, she put herself before us, for us, and she was with us, to become who and what we are now. She gifted all her time and what others may see as her limited potentials to complete those around her and fulfill their dreams, most especially her siblings. She listened without judgment. She waited without expectations. She obeyed and complied to everyone without question, simply trust. She loved fully through action not words.
She was the silent pillar and force of our family, our source of strength and motivation to succeed. Words that sum up her life: Caring- Service- Uplifting- Giver- Sacrificial love.
